Flexible low-cost internet extended enterprise

Ziel

The main project objective is the development of a software prototype, which enables flexible enterprise cooperation with the aim to design, manufacture and sell products commonly, independent of enterprise borderlines. These temporary or permanent co-operations for specific products are called extended enterprises. FLoCI-EE firstly supports the whole lifecycle of products in extended enterprises, utilizing the low-cost Internet for data transfer. The cost-reduction of an extended enterprise product will be 15%-40%, depending on the intensity of cooperation. FLoCI-EE will strengthen all EU companies, which have to cooperate to be more competitive, but for the first time real extended enterprises, including SMEs, will be possible. To reach the project objectives, the industry standard "Unified Software Development Process" for iterative development will be used.
