Obiettivo LEMON deals with advanced system and circuit design methodologies for a highly integrated transceiver for 3rd generation W-CDMA applications. It takes advantage of the high integration level of deep-submicron CMOS, which may ultimately lead to a single chip radio. Challenges include system design for W-CDMA and product-worthy integration of a mixed RF and analogue front-end in CMOS.
