Electronic Brokering Services for Open Trading Infrastructure

Ziel

Work description:
eBroker aims at developing a flexible, universal and distributed negotiation framework that supports internet and extranet publication of supplies and demands for goods and services, matching between supplies and demands and result notification. eBroker will design an XML standard to exchange information about supplies and demands. This standard will be used to develop a set of Web-based supply and demand edition tools (including the definition of new types of supplies and demands), brokering server software to match supplies and demands for goods and services, as well as tools to define and use predefined and user-defined conditions and constraints, negotiation strategies and business models.
The XML standard will be developed in close collaboration with related Web Consortium initiatives. eBroker will use technologies such as HTTP, HTML, XML, JavaScript, as well as standard Web server technologies, Index engines and Internet Portals.
The project will be carried out in two phases:
A first phase will produce an initial XML application along with a first prototype of core software functionalities.
The second phase, which will take place over the second year of the project, will help validate and refine this solution.
