Objetivo Description:The Flight Simulation Infrastructure of the National Aerospace Laboratory NLR is offered in the "Access to Infrastructures" programme of the "Human Potential programme" of the 5th Framework. The Flight Simulation Infrastructure consists of a range of Flight Simulators from simple desktop simulators to full-mission simulators with motion systems and high performance visual systems. The Flight Simulation Infrastructure has been used in major Aeronautical Research programmes, that concentrated on Flight Deck design and Human Factors (EU 4th FWP: AWARD, VINTHEC), Air Traffic Control experiments for the FAA and for NASA and Aircraft Design, with SAAB and IAI as important customers.Application:An independent selection panel (the User Selection Panel) will evaluate the proposals. This User Selection Panel will exist of experts in the field of Flight Simulation and experts on the areas covered by the proposal. The User Selection Panel will prepare a shortlist with potential research projects and present it to the European Commission for approval. Selection will be on the basis of scientific merit taking into account the interests of the Community. Priority will be given to research teams who have not previously used the infrastructure. Once approval has been given, the proposers will be contacted and the most suitable time period for the projects will be negotiated. Calls for proposals and contents of the proposals are listed on the dedicated website: http://www.nlr.nl/public/hosted-sites/ansim/index.htmlProject Manager:Alex D.J.
