Obiettivo The WINDPLUS project will contribute to the Implementation of up-to-date power electronics in wind-diesel energy systems, it will lead to:1. enhance renewable energy penetration from 70 up to 85%, thus reduce fossil fuel usage;2. deliver a cost of energy no more than 35% higher than the current local all-fosil fuel energy costs;3. reduce the operation and maintenance costs compared to all-fossil fuel installations;4. enhance the value of stored energy and increase battery life time;5. enhance energy quality delivery, eliminate coupling perturbations and flicker;6. optimize the turbine efficiency;7. enhance the modularity and upgradability, thus have cheaper systems through quantities.All this, coupled with advanced techniques for energy control like:1. wind resource prediction;2. load prediction and management;3. user remote control, will allow anticipation in energy generation and easy and optimum management of the generated energy.
