Objective The proposal is addressed at Accompanying Measure 2. Its major objectives are to strengthen the visibility of the Key Action, to exploit the results of socio-economic research and to enhance policy/research, linkages, and to do so through organizing a series of workshops and conferences where clusters of projects are brought together in order to make it possible for the project directors, in interaction with, other scholars, to develop syntheses that can be addressed to clearly identified user groups. By giving these scholars a chance to reflect on their specific research efforts and to situate them in a broader context, the project will contribute to the development of a more integrated approach to socio-economic research and may be regarded a providing a remedy against excessive comportmentalisation of research in the social sciences.
