Objective

The objective of the project is to build a simulation tool allowing to simulate neutron irradiation effects in Zr-Nb alloys used to manufacture LWR fuel cladding and subsequently the stress corrosion cracking behaviour of these irradiated alloys in an iodine-rich environment. In the scope of the project, this simulation tool will be used to solve issues proposed by the industrial partners on Zr-Nb alloys. Four technical Work-packages will be necessary to build this tool. Experimental testing or characterizations will performed to validate the key points of the simulation tool and to improve it by feedback.
