Objective The Concerted Action will establish an open network of European research institutes and industrial organisations representing researchers, machine tool producers, users and component suppliers. The objective is to provide interactive cooperation in research activities relevant to machine tool and manufacturing technology through information exchange, definition of key areas for future research and definition of common terminology.By encouragement of future European cooperation in machine tool and manufacturing research, the industry can meet increasing customer requirements and improve international competitiveness.
