Objective The European Conference on Visual Perception (ECVP) is an annual international conference dedicated to the fundamental and applied aspects of visual perception and promoting interdisciplinary interactions and innovative aspects in cognitive sciences among fields as diverse as neurophysiology, neural imagery, psychophysics, neuropsychological, AI, neural networks, philosophy and ophthalmology. The present proposal concerns ECVP 2003, to be organized in Paris, France. ECVP covers a wide range of themes in prosthesis- and cognitive sciences addressed by the means of electrophysiological, psychophysical and neural imagery techniques. Its typical audience is around 500, largely international (60% west-European participation), young (45% students & post-docs) and diversified (25 countries). ECVP is the only European conference in visual sciences and is considered as prestigious its American counterparts ARVO-VSS.
