Cel In this accompany measure we are aiming to contribute to improve the effectiveness of health policy in reaching the poor. For this we have defined three specific objectives:a)To document the complexities and challenges of developing and implementing health policy in the context of economic reforming countriesb)Based on research findings, to propose mechanisms that can aid towards an improved analysis of inter-sartorial policy and the effects it has on the health sector andc) To disseminate the findings of our research project "Strengthening health policies in Latin America (ICA4 CT2000 30037) to a wider audience of researchers, policy-makers and academics. The two major group of activities we will implement are related to produce 3 country case studies documenting the challenges of implementing effective health policy and the carrying out of an international conference.
