Objectif This proposal has a commercial and a technical objective. The commercial objective is to increase the use of cold-formed steel components in the light gauge steel framed buildings, especially in the earthquake zones. The technical objective is to develop guidance for codified design rules, guidance on analysis methods and guidance on detailing. This will enable engineered light gauge steel building solutions to be promoted in seismically vulnerable locations.
