Objective It is often impossible during cold rolling operations to achieve the required stress distribution due to limitations in the operating range of the control actuators and in automatic presetting techniques. This project aims to reduce operating costs through theoretical mathematical analyses, computer simulation and practical testing on different cold rolling mills in order to determine ways of improving strip flatness control and productivity.
