Ziel

The objective of this research is to increase the AOD performance by improving control of the decarburisation process. Activities to be carried out on 140 t. AOD and 75 t. KCB-S will include: - development of a system for the continuous analysis of exhaust gases; - development of a process observation model; -development of a control system; - in-plant trials. Results from this research will provide several technical and economic benefits, which could be transferred to other AOD converters, which produce stainless steels in the ECSC.
