Objectif The aim of this proposal is to create Centre of Excellence For Laser Processing and Material Advanced Testing at the Institute of Fundamental Technologic Research in Warsaw. Innovative laser processing techniques like laser shaping, welding or surface modifying will be developed. Also modern strength testing techniques like: complex stress testing, creep testing, fatigue and fracture testing will be used to evaluate mechanical properties of laser processed materials. Co-operation with European and Polish research centres is planed. The twinning and networking programmed will provide the possibility of research visits, preparation of joint research projects proposals and implementation of new techniques in the engineering practice. Specialized conferences, workshops and seminars will be organized to get together researchers and industry engineers and provide them information about new laser processing and testing techniques.
