Multiphase flow training site

Obiettivo

Fellowships are offered on research related to multiphase flows in industrial processes. European doctorals are invited to join the integrated research groups at NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology ) and SINTEF (SINTEF Petroleum Research ) in Trondheim, Norway, and take part in research activities covering both fundamental and applied aspects on multiphase flows. The form of activities range from experimental work, mathematical modeling and numerical simulation. The experimental work will be conducted at the NTNU laboratories and at SINTEF Multiphase Flow Laboratory (SIMLab ). SIMLab is the EU designated Research Infrastructure for multiphase flow in Europe. Particular challenging current fields of research are multiphase CFD (computational fluid dynamics), transient multiphase flows, particle flows and heat and mass transfer processes. The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) is the national center for technological education and research within the natural sciences. NTNU and SINTEF, the largest independent research institute in Scandinavia, collaborate closely on a wide range of research fields. Most of the research projects are conducted in partnership with the petroleum industry. Marie Curie Fellows will join integrated NTNU-SINTEF research teams and have available all services from both institutions, including social services, university courses, computer networks, application software and high quality laboratory facilities and technical assistance.
