Objective

Under this research project it is planned to develop and test new submersible electrochemical probes with solid or liquid electrolytes for direct measurement of the above mentioned elements in iron and steel melts. The use of electrochemical probes with a solid ZrO2 electrolyte to monitor oxygen activity in molten steel meets the current requirements of steel-makers.
