Obiettivo Strength after cold rolling and annealing depends on the properties of the hot strip and additional hardening may be obtained by the formation of acicular bainite structures by accelerated cooling on the exit table of the hot mill. It is hoped that this will give increased strength to the cold strip (different distribution of carbides, refining of ferrite structure, formation of an annealed bainite structure).
