Controlling the release of proteins from the surface of lactococcus lactis

Objective

The expression and secretion of proteins and compounds engineered in Lactococcus lactis, a widely used bacteria for dairy industry, has a major bottleneck in the proper folding and outer localization of these products, being our aim to improve these steps of lactococcal secretion system using molecular biology techniques.
