Fabrication of microlenses and microreaction vessels from polymers

Objective

A novel method for the fabrication of micro reaction vessels and micro lenses will be explored. In this method a droplet of solvent (diameter between 50 and 500 µm) is sprayed onto a flat polymer substrate. After evaporation of the solvent a lenticular cavity is formed. This can also be employed as a template for a lens.
