Protection of land and water quality and sustainable development of rural areas

Ziel

The aim is to create a Centre of Excellence for Protection of Land and Water Quality and Sustainable Development of Rural Areas in the Institute of Soil Science and Plant Cultivation in Play, Poland. The primary objective is to enhance of research support for successful transition of agriculture in NSA countries and integration with EU. The emphasis will be on improving the quality and capacity of research oriented towards balancing environmental, social and economical objectives of rural development. Activities will focus on increasing interaction with leading EU centres and those of NAS. Programme includes organisation of workshops, conference, expert exchange, and direct participation of scientists and graduate students from EU and NAS countries in the Centre's research. The practical objective is to strengthen links between existing research activities, policy and management.
