Objetivo The aim of the project is to determine the mechanical properties of the heat affected zone (HAZ) of butt welded joints of different steels using the inner-shield process. Three steel grades will be tested (St37, St52 and Fe E355). The characteristics of these base metals will be determined as well as their weldability and the mechanical properties of the welds and the influence of weld position.
