Effects of major genes on the genetic variation of populations under artificial selection

Objectif

The increasing number of major genes controlling quantitative traits that are being identified nowadays brings the need of an updated theory for prediction of the genetic variation under artificial selection, until now based on the infinitesimal model. This project aims to develop predictive equations and quantify the effect of selection of major genes on the genetic variation.
