New methods will be devised for the direct analysis of organic residues on metal surfaces. After extraction of the residues by solvants under pressure or by a surface fluid, they will be analysed by: - gas chromatography - supercritical fluid chromatography (SCFC). The research should lead to the construction of an automatic sampling instrument allowing continuous sampling and analysis.
