Objective The aim of this project is to investigate the possible effect of metallurgical variables such as chemical compositions and microstructure on sulphide stress corrosion cracking (SSCC) of line pipe steels. Fracture mechanics tests will be undertaken to measure resistance to crack propagation along with other laboratory tests to reproduce SSCC.
