Objective Benefit for research fellow: The obvious interest for the subject of the CARE- W project, joining more that 20 partners, illustrates that there is a great need for advanced training in decision support systems for water network management. This need will be met by establishing a Marie Curie Industrial host site in close collaboration with the CARE-W participants. The visiting research fellows will participate in broad-scaled, market-related and international oriented state-of- the art research and development in one of Europe's most potent public water R&D teams. Through various international projects they will have opportunity to establish contact to other leading European research organisations. Some of the expected benefits are:1. Training on simulation tools 2. Training on water management methods, exploring how different tools affect management strategies 3. Training on interaction of raw water quality, treatment and water quality processes in network 4. Pipe inspection and rehabilitation technologies Benefit for Industry: Testing and verification of methods and models developed or under development at SINTEF. Potential establishment of long-term collaboration and customer relations.
