Cel The project aims to design, build and commission an edge thickness profile gauge on a 5 stand tandem mill for production of packaging and magnetic steel grades. The applied technique will consist of a photodiod network sensitive to X rays. The measurements recorded should allow the lateral roll shifting to be controlled in order to compensate for the observed thickness deviations.
