The main purpose of the Danish Innovation Relay Centre is to inform and advise Danish enterprises and research institutions about the possibilities for transnational technology transfer and co-operation and thus contribute to the internationalisation of Danish enterprises and research institutions. The four main objectives for the Danish IRC are: 1. Promote and facilitate transnational technology co-operation and integration of new technologies in European enterprises 2. Faster identification, disse mination, and exploitation of Community research results 3. Improve success rate for start-ups 4. Enhance internationalisation and competitiveness of Danish enterprises To achieve these objectives the following main deliverables and results are planned: Deliverables: 1.200 general telephone consultations, 29 information meetings or contributions to information meetings promoting and presenting services on innovation, 58 technology audits, 13 transnational brokerage events, 4 technology missions, and 700 signpostings to other service providers. Results: 36 transnational technology transfer agreements, 400 requests for information on inward technology transfer, 400 requests for information on outward technology transfer, and 1.160 participants at informa tion meetings. The proposal contributes to the objectives of the Research and Innovation activity area in the following ways: It has a specific focus on SME's and their needs. It identifies and promotes local technologies in order to seek transnational technology co-operation and encourage the attainment of economic benefits of such co-operation. It supports co-operation between NCP's and IRC's and other Community networks for fast identification, dissemination, and exploitation of Community research results. Therefore, the proposal will contribute to a European innovation system with focus on how entrepreneurial innovation can be combined with RTD projects and results.
