Objetivo The strategic objective of the proposal is to embed and advance the use of Transnational Technology Transfer (TTT) in Ireland. The route is to utilise the resources of the relevant parts of the national system of innovation. This will help companies to exploit the external dimension to technology rather than the more common internal dimension through R&D. The five workpackages will deliver on the specific objectives of:-Generating awareness of TTT-Securing TTT agreements-Developing SME capacity for TTT-Bringing the third level education sector into play-Integrating the service for business support networks and NCPs-Interpreting innovation for SMEsCooperating with IRCs throughout the network Key enabling actions within the work programme will be:The involvement of the third level education sector through our subcontractor TecNet.Training courses in TTT for SMEs.-Sectoral action plans.-Innovation seminars.-Technology roadmap seminars, and a cooperation agreement with Scotland and Norway IRCs to enhance collaborations in Europe. In achieving the objectives we will establish TTT as a valid and valuable business process among SMEs and enhance the national system of innovation. Our Host organisation, Enterprise Ireland, is fully committed to the objectives and will provide all necessary support to ensure the effectiveness of IRC Ireland. The proposal and objectives are entirely consistent with the objectives of the Research and Innovation specific programme as they address networking, learning, innovations at SME level and collaborations - all at a Transnational level. The work programme will therefore address the key constraints to Transnational Technology Transfer in Ireland, thereby improving the economic and social benefits being drawn from the European research effort.
