Obiettivo This project is intended to provide data allowing more precise evaluation of true fatigue crack growth in the near threshold region and to more accurately predict the fatigue life of offshore structures. The influence of biological activity on welded joints will also be studied and it is thought that this is the first time that this aspect has been included in an attempt to simulate an environment, which closely models the true conditions pertinent to offshore structures.
