Cel The aim of this research is to examine the various models, which describe the factors controlling hydrogen induced crack initiation in high strength linepipe steels and assess their validity of X65/X70 material. Experimental studies will be undertaken to redefine the mechanisms connecting crack initiation, hydrogen diffusion, embrittlement and microstructure.
