Crack extension behaviour in high strength constructional steels

Objective

This project is aimed at comparing results of tensile testing of high strength Fe E 690 and 885 steels with results already available for Fe E 335 steel, thus providing data for high strength steel applications. Wide plates will be tested in order to investigate crack extension behaviour in small and large scale specimens and evaluate deformation and fracture behaviour.
