Cel This research project will investigate microstructural and fracture toughness parameters of HSLA steels in the laboratory. In depth studies will be made of the relationships between monotonic and cyclic loading in view of the importance of these steels in structural engineering and heavy machinery construction. Steels in the normalized, thermo-mechanically treated and quenched and tempered states will be studied.
