Obiettivo During casting of strip using the Belt-Roll-Process, the water cooled side dams and the ceramic backflow can give rise to cast strip defects. In the planned project, electromagnetic contactless strand containment is to be developed. The project is subdivided into two parts. In the first part a mathematical model will be set up with which the geometry of the coil and the necessary current and frequency will be determined. In the second part the coil will be constructed and its effectiveness will be explored in casting trials.
