Objectif ECO-IMAGINE is a group of 8 events on the complementarity between Integrated Coastal Management(ICM) and Geo-information/GIS as support tool. The initiative runs with an interdisciplinary approach in order to better integrate the different coastalaspects; a science based approach, as per the Johannesburg 2002 Summit, is ensured by a state of artemployment of GIS.Relevance is given to planning and management of coastal landscape as the meeting point between naturaland human features of the coast.3 Working Gro ups are foreseen, to address the main features in this field:-Building Coastal Knowledge and GI. Analyses and monitoring of coastal realities exploiting theemployment of GIS, as analyses functional to an ICM programme and as assessment tool-Coastal Governa nce, Planning and Design and GI. ICM programmes evolution and its issues in the GISperspective. In particular uses of coastal resources, impacts on environment, relations between the actors, assessment methodology, evolution of local policies/ planning towa rd ICM-The Waterfront Management and GI. Integrated management and planning of waterfront as core areasfor the sustainable development of a wider context. In particular will be emphasised the role of GIS inintegrating waterfronts into the territorial scale A 4th cross-cutting working group deals with the technological features of GI and their applications in thevarious fields of ICM.ECO-IMAGINE consists of:-two general conferences: the initial one to introduce the theme, the objectives and the Working Groups ;the last one to make a summary of the events and of the initiative achievements-three thematic conferences focusing issues and state of the art relevant to each Working Group-three Training Courses in order to practically approach the themes discussedAn e ffective network building and generation of added value is ensured by proper tools as the website and aVirtual Permanent Conferenc Mots‑clés Coastal Governance Coastal Knowledge Coastal Landscape GI GIS Integrated Coastal Management Interdidciplinarity Network Building Virtual Permanent Conference Waterfront Programme(s) FP6-MOBILITY - Human resources and Mobility in the specific programme for research, technological development and demonstration "Structuring the European Research Area" under the Sixth Framework Programme 2002-2006 Thème(s) MOBILITY-1.4.1 - Series of events (SCF) Appel à propositions FP6-2002-MOBILITY-4 Voir d’autres projets de cet appel Régime de financement EIF - Marie Curie actions-Intra-European Fellowships Coordinateur GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION SYSTEMS INTERNATIONAL GROUP Contribution de l’UE Aucune donnée Adresse Via Piacenza 54 GENOVA Italie Voir sur la carte Liens Site web Opens in new window Coût total Aucune donnée Participants (1) Trier par ordre alphabétique Trier par contribution de l’UE Tout développer Tout réduire INTERNATIONAL CENTRE FOR COASTAL AND OCEAN POLICY STUDIES Italie Contribution de l’UE Aucune donnée Adresse Piazza della Vittoria 6/9 GENOVA Voir sur la carte Liens Site web Opens in new window Coût total Aucune donnée
