The proposed project focuses on small and micro, non-hitech enterprises with the aim to improve their own potential for Transnational Technology Transfer and, in this way, enhance their innovation performance, facilitate adoption of new technologies, and p repare the grounds for business expansion and (as a final result) growth.
This need is driven by the fact that especially small and micro, non-hitech companies face serious constraints in their attempt to assimilate new technologies due to limited resource s, limited access to markets and finance and limited experience in the practices of TTT.
The project partners are organisations experienced in providing Transnational Technology Transfer services and support. In order to realise the project's objectives, a part from building on the experience already developed, the partners will also experiment on a brand new TTT methodological approach. This approach will not aim simply to inform or provide "passive" services about TTT, but also to transfer directly the kno wledge required for successful TTT, monitor and support its practical implementation and create an endogenous, sustainable potential and competence for Transnational Technology Transfer.
The activities for improving the TTT potential of the targeted compan ies (small and micro, non-hitech - for the purposes of this project called hereafter SmEs) will be realized through: a) The organisation of capacity building seminars on selected issues which affect directly the success of TTT, and b) Practical implementat ion and provision of continuous mentoring to SmEs in order to foster the knowledge acquired, monitor its implementation and maximize the results.
The activities are built around 5 selected topics globally recognized as of crucial importance in the process of TTT (the "TT-Enablers"):
2. Globalisation - Internationalisation
3. Intellectual Property
5. Competitive Intelligence - Information retrieval
