Objective

The major objective of the proposal is preparation for data taking with the ALICE experiment at the Large Hadron Collier at CERN, with its start expected for the end of 2007. This proposal deals with the development and test of calibration, alignment and physics analysis algorithms for the data expected at dimuon and photon spectrometers of ALICE.

This involves:
- test and modification of the software used for data processing
- Integration of the algorithms for the data development and analysis into the GRID framework.
- Test at the Russian Data Intensive Grid computing facility
-data transfer and storage services,
-data procession stability by the AliEn(distributed computing environment of ALICE) stand alone and with UIs to LCG, other Grids,
-integrated usage of LCG and other resources within one single VO,
-batch and interactive tools for the data analysis.
