Objectif Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH’s) and VOCs like benzene, toluene and xylenes (BTX) are compounds of great social and environmental significance, are widely used in industry, in many different applications. However, they and can present serious medical, environmental, and explosion dangers. Because they are toxic even at parts per- billion concentrations, it is essential to know their concentration in the air, especially in industrial and populated areas. Measurement of these toxic compounds at trace levels in multi analyte mixtures is still a challenging task however, and involves the use of expensive laboratory bound equipment. This severely limits risk analysis and timely initiation of preventive measures in a working environment. The main objective of the INGENIOUS project is the development, evaluation and validation of novel ultra-sensitive and selective nanostructured optochemical sensors for the detection of PAHs (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) and BTX (benzene, toluene, xylene) from complex mixtures. Within the sensor concept, nanoparticle-based materials with high selectivity and sensitivity will be created by combining principles of molecular imprinting and plasmonic enhancement of molecular fluorescence. Silica and polymer core-shell nanoparticles with molecularly imprinted shells will be used as building blocks of self-assembling colloidal aggregates acting as chemosensing elements. The sensing elements and microarrays of sensing elements will be obtained using modern printing technologies such as ink-jet and microcontact printing. The combined sensor elements will be implemented on a polymer foil format and validated as sensor transducers. The technology will be incorporated into an in-plane optical read-out platform and demonstrated for specific end user applications. The suggested approach will be used to create sensor devices capable of detecting relevant analytes in industrial processes, occupational health and plants safety like PAH Champ scientifique natural scienceschemical sciencesorganic chemistryhydrocarbonsnatural scienceschemical sciencespolymer sciencesengineering and technologyelectrical engineering, electronic engineering, information engineeringelectronic engineeringsensorsengineering and technologynanotechnologynano-materialsmedical and health scienceshealth sciencespublic healthoccupational health Programme(s) FP7-NMP - Specific Programme "Cooperation": Nanosciences, Nanotechnologies, Materials and new Production Technologies Thème(s) NMP-2009-1.2-3 - Nanotechnologies – coordinated call with Russia Appel à propositions FP7-NMP-2009-EU-Russia Voir d’autres projets de cet appel Régime de financement CP-FP - Small or medium-scale focused research project Coordinateur NEDERLANDSE ORGANISATIE VOOR TOEGEPAST NATUURWETENSCHAPPELIJK ONDERZOEK TNO Contribution de l’UE € 615 250,00 Adresse ANNA VAN BUERENPLEIN 1 2595 DA Den Haag Pays-Bas Voir sur la carte Région West-Nederland Zuid-Holland Agglomeratie ’s-Gravenhage Type d’activité Research Organisations Contact administratif Iryna Yakimets (Dr.) Liens Contacter l’organisation Opens in new window Site web Opens in new window Coût total Aucune donnée Participants (3) Trier par ordre alphabétique Trier par contribution de l’UE Tout développer Tout réduire AARHUS UNIVERSITET Danemark Contribution de l’UE € 450 000,00 Adresse NORDRE RINGGADE 1 8000 Aarhus C Voir sur la carte Région Danmark Midtjylland Østjylland Type d’activité Higher or Secondary Education Establishments Contact administratif Sanne Olofsson Dolmer (Ms.) Liens Contacter l’organisation Opens in new window Site web Opens in new window Coût total Aucune donnée UNIVERSIDAD DE VIGO Espagne Contribution de l’UE € 283 750,00 Adresse LG CAMPUS LAGOAS MARCOSENDE 36310 Vigo Pontevedra Voir sur la carte Région Noroeste Galicia Pontevedra Type d’activité Higher or Secondary Education Establishments Contact administratif Luis Liz Marzan (Prof.) Liens Contacter l’organisation Opens in new window Site web Opens in new window Coût total Aucune donnée CENTRALNY INSTYTUT OCHRONY PRACY - PANSTWOWY INSTYTUT BADAWCZY Pologne Contribution de l’UE € 190 000,00 Adresse CZERNIAKOWSKA 16 00 701 WARSZAWA Voir sur la carte Région Makroregion województwo mazowieckie Warszawski stołeczny Miasto Warszawa Type d’activité Research Organisations Contact administratif Anna Popielawska (Ms.) Liens Contacter l’organisation Opens in new window Site web Opens in new window Coût total Aucune donnée
