Allogeneic stem cell transplantation (ASCT) is a therapy for numerous malignancies; nevertheless, its use is limited by various serious complications such as the Graft versus host disease (GVHD). The EU-funded GIFT project aimed to examine whether a novel immunosuppressive agent could be used to selectively deplete grafts of alloreactive naive T cells, in order to create a graft with good antitumor and immune reconstitution potential that would not be limited by GVHD.

This figure is an attachment to the project final report and indicates that the examined agent successfully induced depletion of naive T cells in mice and prevented lethal GVHD in mismatched allogeneic transplant. It contains statistical data of performed experiments as well as information on the survival of transplantation recipients.
