Objectives of the project standards may be considered as a link between research and development (R&D) and various fields of policy, like innovation, trade and environmental policies. INTEREST aimed to support European Community policies by improving the interface between research and standardisation. Their final report gives a detailed account of their research and an extensive list of recommendations that need to be applied.
