This is the final report of the AIM project, which aimed to better understand the daily news machinery of reporting Europe through the most decisive journalistic media in Europe, i.e. newspapers and television. The project aimed to establish what are the general routines, the decision-making grounds, and the basic frameworks within professional journalism as well as in the communication institutions of the European Union to produce routine material for the European public.

The report begins with a description of the project's objectives and some background on the way the European Union media are functioning and then explains the main idea of the research method applied. It later offers insight on the major findings in the areas of the media and the role of political institutions and finally, there is a section concerning knowledge dissemination actions and plans.
