The ACE-ART project was funded by the European Union and aimed to provide a critical evaluation of the impact of the use of antibiotics in agriculture and in the prophylaxis and treatment of disease in humans on non-pathogenic, food-related, mainly lactic acid, bacteria.

This final activity report refers to the project background and summarises its goals and findings. The specific scientific objectives of ACE-ART are highlighted. In addition, the progress towards their achievement is analysed. Finally, the document briefly refers to the anticipated impact of each of the project results.
