Final Report - TARCC (Targeting alpha-particle emitting radionuclides to combat cancer)

Project ID: 201962
Funded under: FP7-HEALTH

Cancer is a human health problem with growing concerns in Europe. Targeted radionuclide therapy (TRT) is an effective treatment for some disseminated and metastatic diseases, but the large range of the emitted electrons reduces their efficacy against very small tumour cell clusters and isolated tumour cells.

Therefore, the TARCC project, which was funded by the European Commission (EC), aimed to develop a concerted, multidisciplinary plan of action towards improved targeted alpha-radionuclide therapies.

This final activity report outlines the project context and analyses the activities that were undertaken and the results that were obtained by the different work packages (WPs). It also refers to the main conclusions that were derived and summarises the potential impact of the project findings.
