This is the final report for the CUREHLH project which received funding under the European Commission (EC)'s Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). CUREHLH sought to shed further insight into the pathophysiology and natural course of Haemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) and to improve its diagnosis and treatment. In the executive summary, the report presents the experimental basic research in vivo and in vitro, the diagnostics and therapy of HLH. It then presents the main research activities which relate to the pathophysiology in mouse models and in vitro systems, the advanced diagnostics, the improved treatment and survival and further down elaborates on the research results of the respective areas. It covers an overview of the potential impact, and closes with the main dissemination activities and exploitation of results.
