Final Report - SSEEC (Solid state energy efficient cooling)

Project ID: 214864
Funded under: FP7-NMP

This is the final publishable report for the SSEEC project which received funding under the European Commission (EC)'s Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). SSEEC was dedicated to the development of magnetic refrigerant materials and the technology required to integrate them in an end-user application: a heat pump. The aim was to lower the economic barrier to entry of magnetic cooling as a high efficiency cooling technology.

The report starts with an executive summary mainly referring to the project context and listing the key achievements. It further introduces the project context and after having outlined the basic principles of magnetocaloric effect (MCE) materials and their use, the report moves on to the presentation of the objectives, research highlights and the related outcomes which are organised in five work packages. It closes with the results' potential impact and the dissemination activities. Attached is also the final report of the project which only does not include figures and graphs.
