The present project is a detailed study carried out in the laboratory of the relationship between morphology, flow, stress and fluid-rock chemical reactions in a fracture in granite. The objectives of this work are the design, development and realisation of experiments for the validation of coupled thermo-hydromechanical and chemical codes.
The project comprises four areas of study:
design, development and tests of the experimental device;
analysis of the hydromechanical behaviour of the fracture;
chemical analysis of the interaction between fluid and rock in the fracture during two percolations;
initial and post-percolation characterizations of the walls of the fracture.
The results obtained from the experiment demonstrate the possibility of obtaining data to validate coupled codes. odes.
