This research work relates to the testing of various cutting tools in air. Its originality lies in a comparison of dismantling tools under identical normalized conditions of use. Various cutting techniques were compared to determine the actual cutting time, the operational cost, the effect of the cutting speed, tool wear, air filtration efficiency, secondary solid waste emissions (sedimented dross, deposits on the cell walls and aerosols in the exhaust duct) and gaseous form.
