The aims of this work are:

- To design a numerical model in order to make fatigue assessments of some typical offshore joints;
- To increase the knowledge of the TMCP grade 350 MPa steel materials for offshore applications by carrying out the Manson- Coffin and Paris curve;
- To verify the model taking into account the experimental data been gained by the CSM on T-butt and X tubular joints carried out with TMCP grade 350 MPa steel.

During the experimentation both the cyclic plastic strain and fatigue crack growth, the latter realized with the University of Sheffield, have been investigated. Both of them have been investigated in air and in sea water with and without cathodic protection. tion.
