Community Research and Development Information Service - CORDIS

Showing the condition of research on territorial development, and of the use and occupation of the land in ancient European landscapes, this Atlas is on line with one of the priority goals for the COST G2 Action. This volume represents the current state of work carried out by about ten teams, in five countries, Spain, France, Greece, Italy and Great Britain. The data gathered here show how the landscape heritage is rich in clues about ancient societies habits and ways to deal with natural constraints, how they found practical solutions to mastering and regulating natural elements.
