ChemCatSusDe: Chemical Catalysis towards a Sustainable Development: Transformation of Bio-Resources and Atom-Efficient Reactions Catalyzed by Bio-Metals

Final Report Summary - CHEMCATSUSDE (ChemCatSusDe: Chemical Catalysis towards a Sustainable Development: Transformation of Bio-Resources and Atom-Efficient Reactions Catalyzed by Bio-Metals)

Executive Summary:

The return phase of ChemCatSusDe, the project of PIIF-GA-2010-910877, aims at completion of the various objectives of the project and feedback of skills learnt in the phase 1. At its core lies training and career developmernt of the researcher and development of long term collaborations between the groups of Prof.Carpentier (OCP, Rennes) and Cui (CIAC, China). During the last 9 months, most of the tasks were achieved successfully.

1) Dr. LIU completed the remaining objective of the project in the phase 1, heteroleptic alkyl and amide imino-anilide alkaline-earth and divalent rare-earth complexes for the catalysis of hydrophosphination and (cyclo)hydroamination reactions.
2) Based on the skills learnt in the phase 1, Dr. LIU started the project of "alkaline-earth metal complexes: synthesis and their catalytic activity towards immortal polymerization of lactide to prepare end-functional polymer" supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
3) Prof. Dongmei Cui (CIAC group) and Dr. Yann Sarazin (OCP group) have been granted by the collaboration project between National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), which provides foundation to the deep collaboration between CIAC group and OCP group in the future.
