High definition abrasive suspension jet machining and cutting

A new, low cost, high pressure, low pump has been designed, developed and demonstrated. High definition suspension jet equipment has been developed and demonstrated at both 700 bar and 1400 bar. This equipment has been tried and tested in a job shop environment. The results produced by the system are of better quality than existing competitive equipment and can produce increases in cut surface area of between 2 to 4 times dependant on the material being cut. The high pressure hose fitting design has been proven to resist abrasion in accelerated wear trials. The cost of cutting material per metre is dramatically reduced over competitive equipment using the new high definition equipment. The 700 bar equipment is ready to be marketed and sold into the unconventional precision machining market. The 1400 bar equipment has been proven and demonstrated at a prototype level.
